Look at Deborah See what Skinny Fiber has done for her

The picture on the left is me and how I have looked most of my life. Have always had that pot belly. And arms like a sumo wrestler. Ha Ha. In the next picture you can see I am starting to get definition to that once pot belly.
I have lost 29 pounds so far and went from a 34 inch waist to a 28.5 inch waist. These results are from April to present day.
It's been a long time since I have been able to see definitive lines in my stomach.
And actually see a waist forming now. My clothing (pants) are so baggy now that I have to wear a belt just to keep them up. I have since started wearing stretch pants. Something I would have never done before unless I had a long shirt or tee to pull down over top of them. I can't wait for next summer to get here so I can finally wear that bikini I have in my drawer. I got a late start on this summer. But look out next one. Beach pictures in my future!!

Slow Cooker Pumpkin Butter

ღ ღ Slow Cooker Pumpkin Butter
You will need:
15 oz of pumpkin puree (canned if you don't have fresh will work)
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp ginger
1/8 tsp ground cloves
Here is what ya do:
Combine all ingredients in your crock pot and mix well
Cover and cook on high for 3 hours... be sure to stir occasionally so it doesn't stick and burn!
After let it cool a bit before you start eating it LOL....
VERY IMPORTANT do not can this... it is not safe to can pumpkin....
You can store in the fridge for 2-3 wks
Or in the freezer for 6-9 months

To-Do List for Fall Gardening

To-Do List for Fall Gardening
Lawns
If you have cool-season turf, like fescue or bluegrass, you are about out of time to renovate or over seed your lawn. However, if this is still on your to-do list, be sure your soil pH is around 6.0 to 6.5. A soil test from your county extension service can give you this information, as well as any additional nutrient requirements that might be needed, along with the appropriate amounts to add to your lawn.
However, these reports can take a couple of weeks to get back. Depending on where you live in the country, by then you may have missed your window for this season. Go ahead and add seed now if needed. You can add the required nutrients after you get your report. Keep new grass seed moist. You may have to water briefly several times each day until germination. Try to keep fallen leaves off the seeds without disturbing your seeds in the process.
Vegetables
It's time to clean up the summer garden. Many pests and diseases over-winter in old plant debris. Get it out of your garden and into the compost pile, as long as it is not diseased. Otherwise, have it removed from your property.
Hopefully you're growing some cool-season crops right now such as broccoli, spinach, and lettuce. Floating row covers do a great job of providing a few extra degrees of heat and provide frost protection for those tender young seedlings. Most cool-season crops can handle cooler temperatures than you might imagine, and many taste even better after a few light frosts. If you've never had a fall vegetable garden, you're missing a real treat.
Landscaping
Fall is absolutely the best time of year to plant any tree and /or shrub. The soil is still warm enough for roots to actively grow and yet the demand on foliage growth is waning. Trees and shrubs planted now have months to develop a healthy root system before the heat of next year.
Be sure to keep your new plants watered. The drying winds of the cooler weather can quickly dehydrate plants. Check the soil moisture often, and water when needed. For new plantings, provide water once a week in the absence of rain.
Organic Gardening
Don't waste those fallen leaves. My single biggest job this time of year is rounding up all of my and my neighbor's leaves. As they say, one man's trash is another's treasure. My neighbors are glad to let me take their leaves off their hands.
I dump the leaves onto my grass, and run my mower over them. This shreds them into small pieces, which then get raked into my beds. They break down rather quickly and are a very good way to add organic amendments to my beds. They also pull double-duty, serving as that important layer of mulch over the winter.
Flower Gardening
Plant those bulbs, or at least store them in a cool, dry place like the refrigerator. In cooler climates, plant in October. In southern climates, the best time for bulb planting is in middle to late November. Tulips, daffodils, crocus, iris, and hyacinths are all great choices for spring color. This is also the ideal time to divide perennials and plant perennial seeds for next spring.
That should keep you busy for the next few weeks. The best part is that next spring, our efforts will be rewarded with a garden that comes alive, looking better than ever, and due in large part to the work we're doing now.

As a child and adult... I have been raped, I have been molested, I have been beaten, I have been cheated on, I have been lied to...Forever promises broken, My life and children's lives turned upside down, I have been forgotten by those who were supposed to by my side forever......as much as I wanted to hold hate in my heart, as much as I want to destroy the people who have done those horrible things to me I choose to forgive. Not because they deserve it, Some deserves to languish in agony like I did.. but I deserve to be able to move on. And God helped me to do just that...move on. You see when it says in the bible to be humble, its not so that people can walk over you. It takes a strong person to become humble. When it says to forgive it's not for the other person's sake, but your own. When I chose to forgive and chose to forgive them with knowing no "I'm sorrys" would be said. I chose to be better than they were, to not let my anger and resentment and utter hurt glue me into a place I could not move away from. It takes more strength to love someone enough to forgive them than it does to hold onto a grudge and wallow in hate. If I was not able to do this I am sure I would not still be here Today. I thank you Lord for my trials and tears even though it was not an easy path and I wanted to give up many times, I had that pull at my heart telling me I am strong. I am stronger in who I am because of who is in me. Thank you Lord for not making my path easy but for always being beside me when I find it so hard to forgive others who hurt me.

AMBROSIA FRUIT SALAD

1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 1/2 cups shredded coconut
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 (8 ounce) can fruit cocktail, drained
1 (8 ounce) can pineapple chunks, drained
1 (11 ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained
3 cups miniature marshmallows
1 (10 ounce) jar maraschino cherries, drained (optional)
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine the whipped topping, coconut, chopped nuts, fruit cocktail, pineapple, mandarin oranges, marshmallows, cherries, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Mix together well and refrigerate for 30 to 45 minutes.

Baked Peaches

Baked Peaches
No sugar added and amazing!
Cut 2 peaches or Nectarines in half. Take out pit.
Place halves in a glass baking dish
Mix 2 Tbsp melted butter,
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup oatmeal
2 Tbsp desired sweetener, to taste
Mix well and fill peach halves. Broil 5 min or until lightly browned. Serve with cottage cheese or whatever you'd like.

KETTLE-CORN Roasted Pumpkin Seeds...
You will need:
2 cups pumpkin seeds, unshelled
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
Here is what you do:
Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a medium bowl, mix together the seeds, vegetable oil, sugar, and salt. Toss until the seeds are well-coated.
Take a cookie sheet and line with foil... Grease it well
Place the seeds mostly a single layer if possible
Bake at for 45 minutes to an hour kinda depends on the size of your seeds, stirring every 10 minutes or so, until the sugar and some of the pumpkin seeds have browned.
Remove from the oven and let sit for about 10 minutes . After 10 minutes, remove from the cookie sheet and spread on a sheet of parchment paper, separating the seeds from one another as much as possible. Some of the seeds will stay stuck together but thats ok.
Sprinkle with a touch more salt, to taste.
Cool completely and serve.

Broccoli Salad

ღ ღ Broccoli Salad

Ingredients
10 cups of bite size broccoli
1/2 lb Cooked crisp and chopped bacon (Reserve 1 Tablespoon of the drippings)
1/2 medium red onion sliced thin (cut down the center not end to end before slicing)
8 ice cubes
1 cup buttermilk
2/3 cup reduced fat sour cream
1/2 Tablespoon grated lemon zest
2 Tablespoons lemon juice
2/3 cup golden raisins
4 Tablespoons salted and roasted sunflower seeds
Kosher salt and Pepper to taste
Directions
Cook the bacon til crispy and crumble. Save 1 Tablespoon of the drippings for the dressing. Reserve the rest of the dressings for greens etc later.
Combine the ice cubes and 1/2 cup water in a bowl and put the thinly sliced onions in this mixture for about 10 minutes.
Put bite size broccoli in a big bowl and after the onions have set for 10 minutes add them to the mix. Add in the raisins, bacon and sunflower seeds and stir to combine.
In a medium bowl combine the buttermilk, sour cream, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt and pepper and 1 Tablespoon of the bacon grease and Wisk till combined. Pour over the broccoli mixture to thoroughly combine.
Enjoy! It was awesome!! I wish I had added halved cherry or grape tomatoes I think that would have been awesome!!

1- 1oz box sugar free, fat free instant cheesecake pudding mix
1 20oz can of pineapple chunks or crushed pineapple
1 8 oz container lite coolwhip or truwhip

Breakfast casserole in the crock pot! Cooks while you sleep!
*To SAVE this recipe, click SHARE so it will store on your personal page.*
Ingredients:
1 bag 26 oz. frozen hash browns
12 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon ground mustard
1 16 oz. roll sausage
maple, sage or regular sausage.
Salt and pepper
16 oz. bag shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
1. Spray crock pot and evenly spread hash browns at the bottom.
2. Crack 12 eggs in a large bowl.
3. Mix well (and slowly) using a whisk.
4. Add the milk.
5. Go ahead and sprinkle in the ground mustard. This might sound like a weird ingredient, but I've come to love (and use) this in most of my recipes.
6. Add plenty of salt....
...and lots of fresh pepper. Mix well and set aside.
7. Cook the sausage on high heat, drain and set aside.
8. Add sausage on top of hash browns.
9. Is this enough cheese? Maybe? Probably. Throw the whole big bag in there.
10. Mix it up well. Or good, depending on where you're from.
11. Pour the egg mixture over everything in the crock pot. Using a wood spoon, even everything out so it's spread evenly.
12. Turn the crock pot on low for 6-8 hours.

Well as most of you know I had back surgery 4 weeks ago. I can't exercise or do anything really. I am allowed to walk for an hour a day but they are suppose to be broken up in 5 or 10 min periods. Okay... finally!!! Today I finished a 90 Day Challenge and it is show and tell time!!!

Here is my testimony:

Hi! I’m Yvonne Oldenburg!
I am 51 years old and I started taking Skinny Fiber April 27, 2013. It didn’t take long at all to see that Skinny Fiber was helping me. It took a few days, but I suddenly realized that I was not thinking about food all the time. As a matter of fact I had to remind myself to eat. At that point I knew that this was a product that was going to help me!!! One week in, I stopped having night sweats. I was not expecting THAT!!! Previously I was having to wash my sheets every day because I was soaking wet!!! Now I sleep through the night and waking up earlier than usual feeling refreshed. Wow!!! I had started to lose a few pounds by this time. Two weeks in I stopped having hot flashes and acid reflux. Still losing weight. I think that I lost 15 lbs my first 90 Day challenge and the change in my body was amazing!!! The first thing I noticed was I was losing my stomach fat which went against everything I had been taught about fat loss before. I stopped telling people how much I lost because they thought that I had lost more weight. People judge by looks and don’t weigh each other after all…

1. My husband was hospitalized from bleeding internally. We believe we had miracle because with all the testing we never found the source and the bleeding stopped. It set us back financially of course because we don’t have insurance. It also set me on a course of stress eating.
2. I then got a kidney stone that finally passed but then I got real bad secondary infection. That wiped me out for a while.
3. Then I injured my back when the office chair I sat in snapped. It hurt to sit, stand and lay down. Just walking down the hall in church was a challenge for me, and forget my favorite activity which is walking. I couldn’t do it!
4. I was a hopeless mess! I had cabin fever, I was barely moving with my only activity being breathing!!! My metabolism took a plunge and I gained back all but 13 lbs.
But… I persevered. I kept taking my Skinny Fiber because I could really notice a difference when I would forgot it.
When Spring finally came I was able to move more. I started this 90 Day Challenge on May 24, 2014. Slowly but surely I was able to go for walks again. I have even had a couple of days where I walked up to 12 miles, which I probably could do every day if I had time, but I don’t. I’ve actually been able start running!!! I could probably run nonstop for miles on a flat, but my path is very hilly so I do about .8 miles at a go.
This 90 Day challenge I had hoped to lose about 100 lbs, but I only lost 17 lbs!!! lol I’ll take it, especially since I went on two big trips during this time!!! I’m not going to stop going on trips God willing, so I’ll have to put up with taking a slower road to weight loss!!! I’ve lost 30 lbs in all!!! I lost 30.25 inches with 10 of those inches off my waist and 5.5 off my hips! Whooooooooo hooooooooo!! I am beginning to feel like ME again!!!

Texas Sweet Onion Salsa

Ingredients:

4 large plum tomatoes, cored, seeded and cut into 1/2 inch dice (about 1 3/4 cups)...
1 jalapeno, seeds and ribs removed, minced
2 green onions, including green tops, cut into thin slices
3/4 cup Texas sweet onion, diced
1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced
1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon sea salt or 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

Directions:

In a medium bowl, combine the tomatoes, jalapeno, green onion, sweet onion, cilantro and garlic.

In a measuring cup, stir together the lemon juice, lime juice, sugar, coriander, cumin and salt.

Stir until the sugar and salt dissolve, and then pour over the tomato mixture.

Stir gently to combine.

Transfer to a serving bowl, cover, and set aside for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.

Easy Lasagna Rolls

Ingredients
12 lasagna noodles, cooked, drained
2 cups cottage cheese ( or ricotta cheese)
1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
2 eggs
2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
1 (32 ounce) jars spaghetti sauce
1 -2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded, for topping
Directions
Mix cottage cheese, 1-1/2 cup mozzarella and parmesan cheese with eggs and parsley.
Place one lasagna noodle on work surface.
Spread 1/3 cup cheese mixture on noodle evenly.
Roll up tightly like a pinwheel.
Place seamside down in microwave-safe baking pan, that has 2 cup of spaghetti sauce in bottom.
Continue until with remaining ingredients.
Cover rolls with remaining sauce and sprinkle with additional mozzarella cheese.
Cover with microwave-safe wrap and microcook on high 10-20 minutes, until cheese is melted.

Blue Cheese Dressing!!

Blue Cheese Dressing!!
Ingredients:
1 Cup Mayo (can substitute low fat)
1 cup sour cream (can substitute low fat)
2 tsp. balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. sugar (can be omitted by I like my dressing sweeter)
1/2 to 1 cup blue cheese crumbles (I like the extra blue cheese).

I put all the ingredients into a large shaker and shake till blended. I like the chunkier blue cheese.
Makes about 2 1/2 cups. Double for more!
When I make this dressing, it doesn't last very long!

Instead, find an activity like walking, jogging, or yoga that makes you feel good to be in your body.

Sure, pounding on a treadmill for an hour may not be everyone’s idea of a good time. But not all exercise has to be boring; just about everyone can find a physical activity they enjoy. Try playing ping-pong (table tennis) or activity-based video games with your kids. So-called “exergames” that are played standing up and moving around—simulating dancing, skateboarding, soccer, or tennis, for example—can burn at least as many calories as walking on a treadmill; some substantially more. Once you build up your confidence, try getting away from the TV screen and playing the real thing outside.

HEALTHY SPINACH DIP!!

~ HEALTHY SPINACH DIP!!

1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese
1/2 cup fat free plain greek yogurt
1 package vegetable soup mix (I used Knorr)
1 can of water chestnuts chopped very fine
1 package of frozen spinach, thawed and drained

In a blender or food processor, blend the cottage cheese and yogurt until smooth. Transfer to a bowl and add remaining ingredients. Refrigerate for at least one hour prior to serving to allow the flavors to blend. I served mine with sourdough and multigrain breads, veggies, and yam chips. Very yummy and you can't tell it's low fat!

Jackie is such an Inspiration to many of us

I love this Woman Jackie is such an Inspiration to many of us.
This is a perfect example of how we are our own worst critic. You can bet there is nobody that gets up looking like they just walked down the red carpet, or feel like they just finished a workout at the gym. But listen to Jackie, not only is she real but she is honest. Regardless of how she feels (or looks, lol), she always puts herself to the back of the line to help others.
Morale of this is, get off the couch and quit feeling sorry for yourself. Yes we all have gone thru the, “who cares”, pity party but the sad part about it, we were the only ones who showed up. So let’s get started on improving your self esteem and get healthy with us. This way you can share stories like Jackie.
So today I am feeling FAT!!! I think we all have these days where every little flaw makes us want to break down in tears!!
What woman has not had a day like this???
I work daily on my self esteem, but I am human....
Today I feel old, too...
On days like these we focus on our flaws and imperfections...
Today as I dragged my butt out of bed to the bathroom... I was like ugggg...as I wash my hands and look into the mirror...I see me.
I see that my body is not the one I wish I had... I am chubby... my tummy is round...my arms are too big...but they can hug!!! My legs are flabby but they get me where I want to go...I can walk...I frown as I look at how thin my hair is... and the strands of grey popping up---but I thank God that I do have hair.
I see the discoloration on my skin and the wrinkles around my eyes and I thank God that I can see. There are those pesky lines around my mouth...But I smile because I can!!!
I have learned after so many years of hating things about myself that I thought were not perfect, to be thankful for everything about me.. I am alive and I thank God for making me, me!!!
Take the negative you see and turn it around...it makes me smile and smiling is the best!
On days like this I remind myself of how far I have come... not how far I have to go...
I just have to look at where I am now... where I was last year and know that I have the power to keep making the healthy changes to get where I want to be... No one can do this for me but me....
And dog gone it.... I WILL!!!!
I can see the progress in this latest photo and it reminds me that I have the power!!!!

ROAST PRIME RIB OF BEEF

For the gourmet cook that lives in many of us, here's how to cook a perfect Roast Prime Rib of Beef!!

ROAST PRIME RIB OF BEEF

1 5.75 pound prime rib roast of beef (2 bones)

There are no measurements here. Just generous amounts of the following:

Butter at room temperature
*Herbs de Provence
Fresh cracked pepper
Kosher salt – a generous amount
Chef Ron Lock’s Spicy Horseradish Sauce (optional)

*Herbs de Provence
2 tablespoons dried savory
2 tablespoons dried rosemary
2 tablespoons dried thyme
2 tablespoons dried oregano
2 tablespoons dried basil
2 tablespoons dried marjoram
2 tablespoons dried fennel seed
2 tablespoons dried lavander flowers (optional)
2 tablespoons dried parsley or Italian parsley (optional)
1 teaspoon bay powder (optional)

Combine in a small bowl and store in an airtight container.

Directions

Preheat oven to 500° F (this MUST be an accurate temp)
Put roast, rib side down in roasting pan
Mix the pepper and herbs in the butter until well combined.
Spread the butter mixture over the entire surface of the prime rib. The more the better.
Put the kosher salt over the entire surface of the butter. Be very GENEROUS. Use more than you think you should here. Most of the salt will run off and very little will remain on the meat. I can’t stress the “generous” enough.
Put the roast in the 500 degree oven for 30 minutes as outlined in step 1. The time will be according to the size of your roast. After the 30 minutes, simply turn the oven off and walk away from it for 2 hours. Yup, just walk away. Do NOT open the door, fiddle with it or anything else. Pretend the roast does not exist.
After 2 hours, remove the roast and LET SIT at least 15 min to allow it to rest before carving!
Slice and serve. You can remove the rib bones for easier slicing and it also makes it easier to get 4 generous servings from the roast. Save the bones! Serve with au jus or Chef Ron Lock’s Spicy Horseradish Sauce etc. Whatever you like. You will surely love this method. You will get a succulent, moist roast between rare and medium rare. Perfect!

The first time I had to take a picture I cried when I first looked at it, I swore I would never Ever Post it.
